I am pleased to announce that I will be attempting to set up the first unofficial tournament using these new forums. Since this is a first we'll be starting with a simple game: Bust-A-Move. If you're interested please post here. I will be capping the number at a hard meximum 32, however to keep things simple if less people sign up I'll be taking teh first set of people that create a nice bracket. I'll begin the bracket at 5PM (CST) Monday the 11th at which the list will be final and no more sign ups accecpted

The Rules will be simple:

You will be assigned a time to play a game with someone. You must be there within 15 minutes of your assigned time to play. Any time changes to a game must be agreed upon by both parties, in this thread [b]12 hours[/b] before the [b]Originally[/b] scheduled time. Games from the previous bracket must be completed before the scheduled start time for the next bracket. If you fail to make your time you will forfeit. +Winner will be determined by a best of 3 match+ When you are done post the winner here. The winner of the entire bracket will recieve bragging rights. (Unfortuantly, that's all I can offer.)

If for whaeter reason I did miss something, feel free to post questions, comments, etc. in this thread. Keeping in mind this is a first time thing for me as well as you.

Oh and Xamount can I count that as "I'm in?" A dev or two would be nice. ;)

You make a Good point, and anyone who reads this far down can make that adjustment. I'll make a final call for it on Monday as well. I thought about and then didn't add it, but it does make sense.

I'm generally available from 11:30 AM - midnight, with some time spots where I do other things, although my schedule may change by the time the tournament starts.

I'll bust some skulls if I can play during work hours...

Just a reminder, closing time for this is Monday 5PM. Currently (if I count right) we have 8 people, a good start. Since I can lock and unlock threads to my hearts content, I may lock that Monday at 5 and unlock it when I have a bracket all fancy and built.

Oh, right yes, Registration for this is closed. If you're really really nice to me I may let you in still. I plan to have a Bracket up by about Wednesday with Games starting let's say Friday. (PM's would be great right about now).

Ok, I'm building the bracket and if no one minds much I think it'll just all take place over this weekend. I realize those GT-employee nuts (here's looking at you Xamount!) wanted a "bust-a-break" but since it's only 3 rounds (and a play in) it fits nicely in a weekend. Plus that will give time to reschedule games as needed. I'll post again when it's all up and ready.

D'oh. Count me out for this first tourney... I'll be mostly unavailable this weekend (a.k.a. sitting on a beach, crisping my bald head).

So here's how this will work. You must be there within 15 mintues of your scheduled time. If that time doesn't work start negotiating with your oppenent in this thread. A new time must be agreed upon (here) 12 hours before the match. It's a best of 3 thing. (Play 3 games with your openent each round) Post the winner here and I'll try to keep that bracket uploaded. The Play in between pdurbin and Rburke2 is on Friday, with round 1 starting on Saturday. Matches were determined randomly using some free program I found on the web.
I'd like to keep the games on the same day if at all possible but the first round games that aren't affected by the play in can take place any time starting tommorow. If for some reason round 2 or 3 get's delayed I'll post here.

Well if Kilroy is ok we can move that match back to 8:30 PM CST (if Rburke2 is ok with that too) Techinically that match is still up for grabs since your in the play in (you said you wanted a piece of Burke ;).
