might want to make sure your video drivers are up to date

Something else to try, if your drivers are up to date. If things used to work and you're only encountering this after recently changing your resolution and/or refresh rate, try launching the GameTap utilities. Click over to the Basic Repair Tools tab and click the "Reset User Settings" button to reset your display resolution.

rabernethy - I presume you're talking about the Deluxe Player? It sounds like the full-screen size that is native to Deluxe is wrong for your system.

Here's a trick using shortcut keys that will shrink gametap to a window.

Open the Deluxe Player. Hit alt-x and the right arrow key once. Then hit enter. The player should go from full-screen to a window.

Once Deluxe is in a window and you can see it all, you can change your display settings by clicking the blue platter (My GameTap) and choosing Display settings at the bottom of the Profile section.

Good luck, and I hope this works for you!

Most common display issues are resolved by updating drivers as crackeyes advised. Out of date drivers can cause all manner of weirdness in Gametap like garbled/missing text white boxes or artifacts on the screen. If you're running Vista you may need to check with your OEM (Dell,HP, Etc..) or if you are one of the lucky people that have a home built rig you should be able to go to the hardware vendor (ATI, Nvidia, Etc..) Same goes for XP always update video drivers first.

Oh good, I'm so glad it worked for you.

In case anyone is interested, those shortcut keys aren't magic. The first one, alt-x, put focus on the first of the trio of window buttons in the upper left of the Deluxe Player (min to taskbar) (toggle fs/wm) (exit). The right arrow shifted focus right to the middle button that toggles between full screen and windowed mode. And enter executed the action. Voila!
