 Rock Band
Has anyone else played this game? It's awesome. The only problem I see is with the guitars. We (my bf, brother and myself) got it on the 20 when it released for the PS3, and a week or so later- the guitar already started having problems. The mic is great though. I also love that I can use it on my computer if I want or need to, which makes it even better. I love being the frontman (Lady) so much. Although some of the notes seem impossible to hit not being a guy, the really low notes make me either go high or miss them. Still though, I'm in love with it- even though some of the songs I would never call rock songs. Hopefully they'll have some downloadable SOAD or Disturbed in the future. It'd also be awesome to see some foreign more bands too. Like Nightwish, Rammstein or HIM.

 Re: Rock Band
HIM is foreign? They just seemed so typically shit american I assumed they where. Fighting my urge to make fun of your taste in music, I do like Rock Band. Personally I think it blows GH out of the water. I have an old GHII controller for 360 and it works fine for me and I hear nothing but good things about the Rock Band ones, maybe you got a bad pair? And the only thing the lyrical part of RB has taught me is that Im a tone death mother fucker.

EA said that there were problems with some of the Rock Band guitars.
Haven't played this game and probably won't. Too multiplayer focused when I rarely play multiplayer besides online.

 Re: Rock Band
The reason the guitar is crap- IT'S MADE IN CHINA!!! There is an awesome (in my opinion) solo career mode too, just pick your instrument of choice. You can play the multiplayer online too. Also, yes, HIM is a foreign band. If you've ever heard any of them talk it's obvious from their accents. They are Finnish. I love Finland the people there (for the most part) are gorgeous, must be becase of how clean it is there. Also, the people I've met are really friendly. My best friend lives there, he's an awesome guy. Gorgeous too.

Solo career just isn't enough for me, since the only one I'd really want to play would be drums. And the real multiplayer World Tour isn't available online, which is disappointing.

Aww, I would say go into a store and play the demo to at least try it out- who knows you might end up liking something in the game.

 Re: Rock Band
It's not a matter of me not liking the game. I'm sure I'd like it. It's a matter of me spending money on it, which I don't really want to.

 Re: Rock Band
Totally. I mean For our band I do the singing, but I really wanted to get another guitar and do bass while I was singing, but since I can't, I'm going to do a solo career for bass once we get our new guitars. I can't always be hogging the spotlight ;)

Oh please. One fun video game in 2007 has nothing to do with a trend that started decades ago. In fact, games like this and Guitar Hero are probably doing "actual music" a favor, by getting people interested in the +concept+ of actually playing instruments, which is more than mainstream music has done in a long time.
