As much as I love the game, if every episode has the same gameplay, that could prove.... problematic.....

Nope.

There are different elements and challenges not just per episode but also per stage. I know that one of the main complaints I heard about another certain episodic game was that the gameplay was almost click-for-click the same and that the "solving mechanism" didn't really change that much.

I assure you personally that monotony will not be an issue.
