 sid miers, civilization IV complete not working

Post sid miers, civilization IV complete not working
hi, when i load up this game i go through all the game setup and when the game starts to load it finishes then i get 2 error messages saying 1 saying: microsoft visual runtime c ++ runtime error. And the other is: failed to allocate video memory. please try reducing your graphics setting, file:\source\main\civilization\SDKS\gamebryo2-o\corelibs\nidx9renderer\nidx9renderedtexturedata.cpp,line:170

if anyone could help would be gratefull cheers :D

Sounds like you need to update DirectX using the redistributable (not the web setup) --> http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... 2d8712d553

Also make sure your video card drivers are the latest versions.
