Well, I managed to download Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Deluxe while AVG was on once I added my GT games folder to AVG's exceptions, check my original post again. EDIT: First post updated, Avira exceptions instructions edited, AVG instructions added. | | |

Re: Some AntiVirus/Malware programs falsely detect viruses on GT I don't mind maintaining this thread, so long as it's helping someone!  False positives are such a pain and I can only imagine the confusion they cause people who don't even realize that AVs can be wrong.

Re: Some AntiVirus/Malware programs falsely detect viruses on GT I know this is an simi old post but when are we going to get Avira AntiVir to stop thinking every game I download is considered a Trojan and if I let it clean it it deletes the file and I can no longer play the game... I am getting tired of having to shut off my anti virus protection to allow me to play GT Games!

Are you getting false positives while scanning or is the guard giving you trouble?

wow I am a bit late on the take on this but I dunno all I know is that when it detects a GTap game it bings at me and brings up a popup from the taskbar saying trojan and other stuff still after months it still does that heh maybe the Anti virus program sucks I have AVG on my laptop and I don't get anything with any GTap games lol maybe I should stick with AVG on my desktop lol

But that still seems like a problem that nearly two dozen virus scanners are throwing an error on it and almost every major virus scanner.
