The Witcher's censorship (and all games censorship) has nothing to do with freedom or liberty. Its because Wal-mart won't sell it if its got nipples. You can still buy adult games in this country without any problems. In fact, an uncensored version the The Witcher was always available directly from the publisher as a digital download. The problem is that stores refuse to sell it. It has nothing to do with the government.

That's exactly why you don't need one. You want one because you don't like me. That's not a good reason, but it's often used for censorship. I had a discussion recently in another thread with a guy who blatantly breaks the rules of the forum, unlike myself, but yet wants to censor other people. This is why liberty is important (because it is easily abused).

Also, on the initial release of the witcher, there was not a director's cut, and there was not a digital download. There was a voluntary decision by the publisher to censor per country. I was on their message boards for quite some time because I was excited about the game. I ended up importing it because of this.
