The Graveyard
!http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/6003/screenselector.png!
I just noticed , and I must say it has absolutely screwed me over for the night. It's really a basic simple little thing, but after thinking about it for fifteen minutes too long I can't keep myself from tearing up, which sounds odd I know.
Try the demo. The demo itself is only missing one feature, which presents an interesting dilemma for people to chat about if/when they decide to chat about it.
When you grab the demo, make sure you take your time though, don't just rush through it. LISTEN.
I'd like to hear other's opinions once they get a chance to listen to it.

Re: The Graveyard
Normally, I'm a fan of these experimental artistic games. Maybe I'm just not in the mood to appreciate it at the moment, but this one came off a little heavy-handed to me. I found myself more affected by , which is another game that will totally depress you if you ponder on it for too long.

I haven't tried the Graveyard yet, but Passage is immediately what sprung to mind. I'll give it a shot this evening.

Re: The Graveyard
I.... don't get it.
You sit down, listen to a little song in a foreign language about how people died, then leave.
and... that's it.
I kept expecting something to jump out and scream, or the game to search your computer and slap YOUR name on a tombstone, or.... something.
It seems more like an experiment to see what they can get people to fork $5 out for rather then any sort of artistic work IMO.

Didn't you get the white page from under the bench? You can't rescue zombie Atrus without it...

Re: The Graveyard
Tale of Tale's second game, The Path looks like it'll be more up my alley. After playing Penumbra, I'm eager to see what another experimental indie horror game can accomplish.
