I hope you found this list of 64-bit compatible PC games before going on your tirade: http://www.gametap.com/offers-downgrade ... =ESSENTIELHere are some of the titles in case you missed them: Unreal Tournament Evil Genius Tropico 3 Overlord Tomb Raider Hitman Project Snowblind Infernal Republic the Revolution Still Life 2 Trine TrackMania United Forever Unless you have played all *52* PC games that are already 64 bit compliant, I doubt you can play through these faster than we are releasing new ones. Maybe I'm wrong...

Re: The Official 64-bit Support Suggestion Thread
I would first like to say thanks to the GameTap guys! Going from 32-bit to 64-bit when the code doesn't support it natively ain't easy. Keep up the good work! I see the list of 64-bit games growing, and am content to use the 64-bit compatible games in my main machine.
Here's a tip for those of you with 'brand-new systems with nowhere to dance' or whatever: Virtual Machine. I've been playing the non-64-bit compliant games in a 32-bit VM (I use VMWare Player, but VirtualBox would do just as nicely, and hey - they're both free) and have only experienced issues in the most graphically intensive of the older games. I would highly recommend that route while we're waiting for the guys to finish the conversions.
To that end though, I'd to suggest some titles:
Beyond Good and Evil Prince of Persia Sands of Time Trilogy Psychonauts
Huh, must be in an Ubisoft mood!

Not sure if it was mentioned, but are the games not working not working for Windows 7 64 bit also, or is it just Vista 64 bit?

You mean the Windows 7 XP emulator? That's not going to help you here. It has to do with the design of the original encryption driver. AFAIK, nothing windows 7 is going to help.

Re: The Official 64-bit Support Suggestion Thread
The XP Mode of Windows 7 could be used (I believe) for this purpose, as it is a single-license XP virtual machine run in Virtual PC 2007, available free from Microsoft. However, this is only available for Windows 7 Professional, Ultimate, and Enterprise (not for any of the 'Home' flavors.) Also, I'm not entirely sure you can run 32-bit XP Mode on a Windows 7 64-bit machine. However, I do know that you can use other Virtual Machine alternatives. I use VMWare Player, for example (although I have tested VirtualBox as well), and use VMWare Player to run a 32-bit XP machine on my Windows 7 64-bit computer for GameTap. I could also see using this method for Vista or even 64-bit XP as well. Using this method I have been able to successfully run RealMYST and Psychonauts (among other games). Requirements would be: 4GB minimum recommended (with 1GB assigned to the virtual machine) A separate XP license for the virtual machine Dual core CPU minimum recommended Here is a link to a description of VMWare Player if you're interested. Uncle Google should be able to help as well. http://www.vmware.com/support/player30/doc/releasenotes_player3.html

The problem with these is they often don't emulate a proper video card to run GT or any games.

Re: The Official 64-bit Support Suggestion Thread
Is there any order to your encryption choices? Some of the top played games aren't encrypted yet or even in the process.. Please make Civ 4 64 bit lol

Re: The Official 64-bit Support Suggestion Thread
The order has been described as such in other posts: Games already encrypted first. Most popular games.

Re: The Official 64-bit Support Suggestion Thread
36 games! Woot! Suggestion, it would be nice if the 64bit checkmark filter stayed checked between sessions, set a cookie or something, since my PC is pretty consistently 64bit. Also if it could be tweaked so checking 64bit doesn't re-check the "browser" and "desktop" boxes. Currently you have to remember to start with the 64bit then remove browser to get the PC list, it feels odd in that you are moving right to left and that checking one effects the others. Lastly, if I sort by new is that the date added to gametap in general or date updated to 64 bit? I guess my goal is a quick "what did they add today" link.

There are other virtual machines besides Microsoft's - for example, there's Sun VirtualBox, for which I think a Windows NT-derivative installation (e.g. XP, Vista, Seven) would also be DirectX-capable. Also, it's free.

Re: The Official 64-bit Support Suggestion Thread
I run windows vista 64 bit os and was considering a gametap subscription until i updated my os, now that i have seen the efforts being put toward an entirely 64 bit compatable site i am eager to begin a paid account with gametap. Thanks for the hard work, gametap is the greatest idea for gaming i have ever seen. Why buy games that get lost, scratched and ruined when you can rent them until you are tired of them and then find another for a low monthly cost. Great job gametap team.

Re: The Official 64-bit Support Suggestion Thread
Hm, Sam and Max seems interesting, so i ask for it.
However, alot of Castlevania games are not 64 bit. Neither are Rayman games, or Earthworm Jim 3D. So I also suggest those.

I noticed the 64 bit pipeline blog back in October listed The Witcher. Any guess when this game may be released? Thanks.

Your Virtual machine question? Probably better to ask in GT general. It's not an officially supported option, so I don't think any of the support techs will be jumping in to answer it. If you're talking about another tech issue, try posting in Tech support. Be sure to follow the form though.

Re: The Official 64-bit Support Suggestion Thread
I noticed the new game for the week Call of Duty 2 is not 64bit compatible is that true? We were making great progress with 64 bit games then no Vegas and nothing big this week. Just kinda checking back to see what 64 bit games may be up-coming, to keep us 64 people in the loop.

Re: The Official 64-bit Support Suggestion Thread
I purchased the premium pack in order to play realmyst, which does not work since I have a 64 bit computer.
How do I get a refund? I obviously wouldn't have signed up for this service if I realized that the games I wanted to play wouldn't work...

I would like to see the Sam and Max series for 64 bit. Metaboli currently has Season 1 and 2 64 bit ready.

You need to file a ticket under "Support-->Ask a question" You'll also want to cancel you account. I think the ToS says 48 hours.

Re: The Official 64-bit Support Suggestion Thread
I would like to see rise of nations for 64-bit on here. That game was one of the main reasons or getting this service, but I didn't know that there was not very many games for 64-bit os's. I would also like to see call of duty 2 and Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword and Sid Meier's Pirates! and Railroad Tycoon 3 for 64-bit as well, because these are games that I would like to play and I am sure that others would like to as well, and there needs to be more modern games for 64-bit. Please get these games for 64-bit soon
