Re: The Official 64-bit Support Suggestion Thread
Just Subscribed to the service, really like it so far. I use Windows 7 64bit. I would like to see some more driving games! Trackmania doesn't work for me (gametap are fixing the problem) and that is the only 64bit driving game Here are some driving games I would like to see become 64bit compatible: Grid Fuel (its on metabolis service so I guess its on its way to you guys soon?) Dirt Crazy Taxi

How long does it really take to make games on here 64 bit, ur tycoon games should by now be 64 bit, or least half ur games, seems like ur making one game 64 bit, and it takes u 4 months, kinda stupid paying for a site thats taking so long to make games playable on here, and ur site keeps crashing

Re: The Official 64-bit Support Suggestion Thread
I wanna throw in my hat with Titan Quest being high in the queue for conversion. I tried to play it on my old computer and it was borderline unplayable due to the choppiness. Now that I have a new system that can handle it, I'd love to get another chance at it. It's an excellent game.

Re: The Official 64-bit Support Suggestion Thread
My old computer died and I had to buy a new one, now I can't play any of the games that I was playing and paying for. Lame.
I mostly play strategy or point and click adventure games (I prefer to play other types of games on my consoles) so my suggestions would be any of the previously available games in those (adventure/strategy) genres.
I was last playing Civilization 3 and Beyond Atlantis so I guess those would be the specific ones I'd like to see converted.
Honestly, not a fan of the browser based games so chances are I am done subscribing until the entire library is available again, or at least enough desktop based games are converted that I feel it's worth my money to pay.
Any timeline on how long the whole conversion project may take? From the little blurb I read it seems a daunting task.
I really do like the service you guys provide, so I may stick around for another month or so, but if this whole process is going to take as long as it seems, then it's going to be hard to justify renewing my sub much longer.

According to this new release thread ( new-game-day-3-4-10-tom-clancy-s-rainbow-six-vegas-2-t36989.html), they've got Dirt converted to 64-bit.

I would love to see Freelancer made 64 bit compatible. That game is a true classic.

Re: The Official 64-bit Support Suggestion Thread
One of the biggest games I came here for. S.T.A.L.K.E.R shadows of Chernobyl. I loved the game on my old lappy, even if it made the thing burn so hot it almost roasted my lap, and was laggy beyond belief. I got a new lappy, unfortunately 64 bit, and wanna play it again.

Re: The Official 64-bit Support Suggestion Thread
I would like the three Rayman games (Hoodlum Havoc, Arena, and Raving Rabbits) made 64-bit compatible as soon as its possible. Out of those three, Hoodlum Havoc would be the most important one to do.
Thanks!

I would like to see the original Unreal Tournament re-encrypted. There are some great mods out there like Unreal 4 Ever.

I know right? I play tons of 32 bit games left over from my years of PC Gaming, that work perfectly fine on my 64 bit laptop. So why not let us just take our chances. {Hey, this game MAY not work on you're computer, but you're welcome to try it anyways!]

Because the old encryption system outright prevents you from playing with 64-bit. The new encryption system doesn't.

Re: The Official 64-bit Support Suggestion Thread
so they don't even give us the option to "Try" to download 32 bit games? I"d rather have the option to try and download them, then just get "Sorry, you're computer don't like this game. Go smack yourself with a brick now" message that usually pops up. {Also, bought S.T.A.L.K.E.R since I got tired of waiting for it to appear on the sight. Works perfectly despite it being 32 on a 64 bit system. >.>

Yes. Because it's not encrypted using the old system. As most games you'd buy probably aren't.

Re: The Official 64-bit Support Suggestion Thread
My biggest request for 64bit is the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Really, the whole trilogy. It would be great if you could get it done before the new movie lands! And I also really want Beyond Good and Evil, and Psychonauts.

Re: The Official 64-bit Support Suggestion Thread
I recently signed on to GameTap again hoping things had changed and disappointed once again. Not only am I forced to still play games with a browser (which is buggy as all get out) but there is STILL no 64-bit support on an obscene number of games (and newer titles at that, ones that take advantage of 64 bit, not at GameTap). Psychonauts for instance is a gem to me and would love to be able to play it. Wait, I can. gog.com sells it for 9.99. Sure I have to pay almost the price of a month of GameTap but it's an independent install that runs beautifully on my 64-bit system and it's DRM free.
The worst mistake GameTap has made so far is starting this browser business. Sure I had to start an entire program but it ran 10 times better than the browser plugin and let me play my games full screen without freaking out the game.
I actually sent an email to GameTap before I cancelled way back when and they responded that 64-bit is not really popular and we have no intentions of developing a work around. Now I see they notice that it's popular but are still restricting the heck out of their clients and limiting the game catalogue.
The result? 206 people are online right now. Nuf said. If I don't see immediate changes or at least some grand news in the next few weeks I'll drop GameTap immediately. I'd rather give my cash to wizards at gog and enjoy my games as they were intended. May cost more, but here's a business hint, people are willing to pay more for a good product. GameTap is not it. If gog ever started a similar subscription service, GameTap would be doomed.

It was not Gametap's idea to start this "browser business", it was Metaboli's. They own GT now. Blame them.
