The thread so off topic, it shouldn't even be here!
All joking aside, the idea behind this thread is simple: Around January 2009, I wrote into a forum contest here in the GT universe [Box art #2 i think]. Since then, I have been a "partner" with Blizzard Entertainment to make it a reality. Since I can not find the original post, I'll briefly explain the concept of the game. You play as either Mark or Tyler in the game. It's Christmas eve [December 24 for those that prefer me to not say CHRISTMAS], and you are walking home from a party that your friend threw [the story depends on who you choose, you pick Mark, it's Tyler's party and vice-versa] and Tyler sees a paper on the ground. He reads it out loud and both Mark and Tyler get transported into an alternate dimension. You have to fight your way through a few enemies and find "teleport flags" in order to advance in the game.
Ok, this game has been completed, however due to lack of interest [feel free to prove me wrong], I won't submit to GameTap. Now, any questions or just want to say Give me a copy, say whatever you want. Oh, and Jac, on the old thread, you posted the flag design, and I asked you is it ok if I used it, you said go ahead, just credit me. Well, I have, and I shall continue. So, like I said, feel free to reply with anything you want.

i looked-up the old thread and i didn't say that it was Lil'C.(also it's kind of freaky that none of the images i posted there are broken despite the change in forum format.) oh and did the Truck-Nutz bola's make it in?

Sadly no. I wrote in the old thread that I contacted them they said no. Thank you for finding the old thread though, and sorry I confused you with LC. So let's start a demand thread: A demand to submit TFBC to Indies. Feel free to say why or why not you want it, or if you just want a copy of it. ---------------- Now playing: M64 - Smash Bros Brawl Theme-8bit (NEWGROUNDS ID: 208816)via FoxyTunes

No need to demand, just email me the link to the game for evaluation.

in the old thread, i can see all the pics i posted even though they should be broken links because the old forums used a different code to post images.

Like I said though, I'm not sure if I'm even submitting it into GameTap. If you all want me to, let's demand me to send it in, that's what I meant.

Erg, no offense but isn't that basically saying "Stroke my ego, before I send in the game?" which is actually putting the cart before the horse (as I'm not really demanding a game I've seen 0 of no offense. I may go on faith for someone like Tim Schaefer, but he's earned my trust). Perhaps some movie samples or something might at least get me to raise an eyebrow.

True, some have thought of it like that, but it's more like "Let's see who would actually play the game and see if it's worth GameTap's time".

By definition of what the "indie games" program sets off to do, any submissions are in theory worth their time. (IMHO of course) GT bothered to Secure Diakatana, more games are always welcome. Who knows you may set off a firestorm (remember, all games were unique at some point.)

Oh, now I get it. Well, I guess I could send it in, I'm just not prepared for the e-mail I'll get saying "Sorry, but we're rejecting the game you submitted." I have checked my inbox here on GameTap, and so far 4 people want to see the game here. I just have 1 more question before I do so: Has GT ever turned down a game submission for indies? ---------------- Now playing: Frank Sinatra - My Wayvia FoxyTunes

Re: The thread so off topic, it shouldn't even be here!
Well even if 500,000 people say "We want this game!" that's no garuntee that GT will accept it anyway. They have other criterion for which they need to judge games I'm sure. Like "does this game fit the service" I could make a game where all you do is hit the spacebar in time to a flashing light, people may enjoy that (I think I've seen it on Yahoo games before actually) it's really not GT's M.O. though.

If I were you I'd give it to Gametap and if Gametap rejects it then put it on ModDB. Simple as that. ( I'm not advertising for ModDB , just trying to help out Eagle )

The evaluation for indies is just Pyetr and I testing out the game and gauging people's interest. The official GameTap Indies program has been dead for a long time though

Re: The thread so off topic, it shouldn't even be here!
Well, I do feel better about it since I know LC sort of well through the forums . How about if I post some screenshots from the game, and see where it goes. I know you want the real game though LC, I want to see if the actual crowd would like to play it, through screenies, which is kind of bad. I'll go make some now I guess. There were taken using the third person view [unless stated otherwise] to see the characters. This is world 8, or mission 8 I guess you could call it. The lines are the mouse pointers of the players at the time, including myself. This was taken during a co-op mission online. In this pic there's a great view of Mark, who is the front person. This was taken during the Story mode, right after the cutscene. Tyler is the guy with the green hood, your partner is laying down, that's Rico, he joins you for the first mission only. This is close to the end of the first mission, the group is looking for the teleport flag (thank you again for the flag design Jac) You see Rico plain as day in the front, Mark is behind him with the red bandanna. Tyler is to the left of Mark with the green vest you find during the mission. The fourth guy is Jack, he's a sniper, which could come in handy this mission. This final pic I got is the train also found in level 8. This is my only one done in first person. If you look closely behind that woman laying down, you'll see part of the flag, they're hidden very well. This screenie is from my point of view during a co-op mission online (they need my help with it, go figure) I'll add more over time.

Does it matter? It's simple algebra. Truk nutz + x = awesome. (even if it's copyright infringement)

Looks similar doesn't it? It's not "Ghost Squad", although it uses the same base it does.

A) Those "ladies" are enemies (see the surprised look?) Some of the original enemies have not made it to the final game. B) That X-wing is later in the game, which is the "space" world. I have no screenies of the space world yet, I'll work on it tomorrow, provided that "cheat menu" works. (It's a hidden feature that's buggy)
