I am trying to update Gametap but when i try to run the installer from the website it says that Gametap is still running, WHEN ITS NOT EVEN ON!.

help please....

Let's start with the basics. It's possible you had a GT silent crash and hang (it's been known to happen.) Have you first tried restarting?

Also, GT should automatically update and there should be no reason you need to get the file from the website to reinstall (the only reason would be if you haven't updated in quite some time.) If you're having problems using hte autoupdater please post those as well they may be able to help us.

Finally go to GTutils (in the same programs folder as GT on the start menu, go to "Advanced" Click all 3 buttons (Scan 1, Scan 2 and submit) and post the log handle here (It'll be in green and say something like "Papa-123" That will help the people with abilities to see those to find any problems.

try doing a manual patch by redownloading gametap. this will not delete your games as long as you don't uninstall gametap. goto gametap.com/download
