wonder boy in monster WORLD (i suppose it is still a legendary sleeper)(sega genesis)
Legend of Zelda : Ocarina of time
Streets of Rage (all of em)(master of arcade co-op fun)

Too hard for me to pick one, but my list usually includes Sonic the Hedgehog 2 or 3 (depending on my mood of the day), Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, We <3 Katamari, and Team Fortress 2. I might also include one of the God of Wars (probably II) and Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations.

Id have to go with Morrowind. I guess i could try and put why i like it so much in words, but it doesn't really seem necessary.

Flight (sim): IL2 series.
Flight (arcade): Ace Combat series.
Space Combat (sim): Starshatter The Gathering Storm.
Space Combat (arcade): Darkstar One.
Strategy (RTS)(old school): Total Annihilation.
Strategy (RTS)(new school): Dawn of War series.
Strategy (TBS)(old school): Panzer General series.
Strategy (TBS)(new school): Hearts of Iron series.
Driving/Racing (sim): Tie. GTR series, Gran Turismo series.
Driving/Racing (arcade): Burnout series.
FPS: I'm still a relative noob to this genre but, of the few I've played so far, Half Life 2 hands down.
Survival Horror: Fatal Frame series.
RPG (action): Tie. Champions of Norath series, Baulder's gate series.
RPG (strategy): Another tie. Final Fantasy Tactics, Tactics Ogre.
RPG (traditional): None. Not into em.
Action: Yet another tie. Gran Theft Auto series, GOD OF FREAKIN WAR SERIES! (Sorry I had to shout that last bit, Kratos would be pissed if I didn't). :)

MMO:Everquest
RTS:That's a tough one, played so many, but Age of Mythology and Empire Earth 2 are pretty high up there, as is the Warhammer ones here on GT. OMG release the xpac already!
Turn Based Strategy:Civ 4 and any of the Panzer General games on PC or the console.
Sports:Madden Footabll ONLINE, single player get's old fast.
Racing:Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and who can forget ROAD RASH!
Action:Gods of War in any form.
Puzzle:Puzzle Quest
RPG:Suidoken in any form though the later ones weren't as good as the first 2.
RPG/Action:Baldurs Gate 2 PC
Platform: Super Mario World
Classic Arcade:Dig Dug

I know there are more genre's i am missing but that's all i can come up with off the top my head.

mmmmm Rez, it is a synesthestic shooter by Tetsuya Mizuguchi it was released on Dreamcast and PS2 and then re-released in HD on XBLA.
