Hey group, I'm a long time lurker and recent member of gametap. I'm a 48 year old PC gamer who finally decided to sign up for the service for the kids games for my 2 year old grand-daughter. Besides some quirks with running the service under Vista (support was great and knew just what to do) I have been very pleased. Reader Rabbit rocks!
Besides that, i have enjoyed that GameTap that has opened up a whole lot of game genres I wouldnt have normally played. I may be becoming a race game addict. And really, how can you beat the price for the selection and up to five sub-accounts? Thats less than 2 full price PC games.
Enough of the commercial; so I live in Maryland, am Sunday School director in my church, enjoy reading history and theology (latest readings are The Abolition of Man and Volume 1 of Shelby Footes The Civil War) See why I need to play games?! I work in Health Care in IT management, am married to my bride of 25 years and hope to have my contract extended for 25 more.

hi everybody been a tapper for awhile just got on the new gametap, im 19 into rpg's, war games , and strategies. i listen to all kinds of music and any propaganda you'd like to babble, being a samurai would be awesome and thats about all my ambitions add up too

Hello all, I'm Tnaknockout, my real name is Kaitlin though. I am the fiancee of Eagleflies14 (wife on October 12) This is return to GameTap since April I think. All in all, I like the web layout better since I could DL games and be on yahoo without having 2 windows open, and it's smooter with the pc games (desktop?) after you close them out. It's always nice to have a little puzzle game every now and then, but I love a good round of Street Fighter with IncrediBlue (wonder where he went). Hope to see everyone around for a while to come.

Oh yeah, i forgot to mention you to the GT people... Well, yeah it's true. I should tell them how we met too just for the heck of it. Way back when we were both in the Street fighter 2: new challengers lobby waiting for our friends to come in. We were expecting 2 different people, but it turned out we faced off. We got closer over time, and decided to meet up outside GT. Turns out your sparring partner might turn out to be your partner for life. So thank you GameTap, thanks to you guys I met the love of my life. I can't ever say how much that means to me.

We just signed up for the service today! I love the selection of games, you have them for us old gamers (I am 38 and I remember spending many a nights on pong with my brother) to some of the more recent games. The price is outstanding, it amazes me on how much games cost now days. We have the wii, xbox, ps2, psp and ds. My wife is trying to get me to unclutter our home with some of the stuff and I believe now I will.

She was amazed that we can use your service to monitor what our 4 kids are playing and for how long they are allowed to play. That is a huge selling point with her.

The only compliant so far is a lot of the classics are not on here but I see you recently signed an agreement with atari so I am sure that will solve some of the issues. Looking for tapper, joust, etc. Also had a few technical problems (gotta love Vista) but in all a great service for the money.

I'm Sarah, I'm 25, and a serious gaming addict. I play everything from the lame Facebook stuff all the way to the hardcore MMOs that suck away your life. Some of my favorites are Fable I & II, The Monkey Island series (the new remake for the 360 is SWEET!), Silent Hill series, Resident Evil (1, 2, Umbrella Chronicles, and 4...haven't played 5 yet), Unreal Tourny (the original), Ultima Online, Mario Kart (64, Double Dash, Wii) and the Sims series (my one nod to being a gurl gamer). On GameTap I'm totally hooked on Overlord, Tropico, Rise of Nations, and Startopia.

Dude I'm totally with you here. I met my husband playing Second Life (don't judge, I was there learning 3D animation, and he was there experimenting for his job at University of Phoenix). We got to know each other 'talking shop' about gaming/programming, and have now been happily married for two years!

It's great to hear about video games bringing people closer together. Just imagine a game of Halo. Some guy got killed by a lady. He wants to meet her, she lives a few miles away, meet, fall in love, etc. What he didn't tell you was that I owned him in that challenge lobby match...

Im donugee, yes me here. I hail from BITForums and im obsessed with the game centipede. I found this place looking for a use for my USB controller after i found out the reasons i bought them were also on PSX.

So i looked through here, saw centipede and thought "oh hey ill join" i already have that version of centipede, but im tired of loading atari anniversary edition whenever i wanna play it.
