Not to my knowledge, give it a try and report back with your results.

Oh, I definitely would if I had a rig capable.

You've managed to run Windows 7 on a rig that doesn't meet Spellforce 2's specs (shown below for reference)? How?

System Requirements
-Processor: 1600MHz
-RAM: 512MB
-Video RAM: 128MB

Heh, no, I don't have a rig capable of Windows 7 or Spellforce 2. I was really just wondering since I'm upgrading in a few months and I'd like to run as much as possible under 7.

Most things are just fine running under Windows 7. In fact, the only major exceptions I've found are GameTap games (their non-GameTap counterparts usually run without issues). That said, Windows 7 is significantly more locked down than Vista, particularly in the area of detailed customization (Ex. In Windows Vista you had a GUI for customizing the Games Browser, Windows 7 on the other hand forces you to edit the registry and various files to achieve the same effect).

Ya, I've heard great things, unless you're talking GT. That second part sounds kinda lame but I'm sure I'll like 7 overall.

You will, and I've heard rumors that many user gripes will be fixed come SP1.

I have windows 7 and it has given me lots of problems with gametap. I can't play any of my games (I get the green circle icon in the middle of the screen but then nothing happens) that I've downloaded and downloads also seem to freeze in the middle of the download. Does anyone else have these problems with windows 7?

I've experienced these problems myself.
  1. Freezing Downloads - seems to be related to a sluggish internet connection (GameTap requires broadband I believe), but it might also be caused by a closed NAT. I've had this problem occur on my university's internet connection, but not at home. The only resolution I've found is to open the Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and close GameTapWebPlayer.exe then refresh the page.
  2. Games That Fail to Launch - Not sure why this happens, but at the moment I'm trying to compile a list of games that do and don't work on Windows 7 (see page 3 of this thread).
