Last year, GameTap sent players on a quest towards high scores and eternal glory. Those who came back alive were heralded as arcade heroes. The others...well, they got to try again the next week.

The official GameTap Leaderboard Tournament returns for a second season, playing host to eight more incredible titles that will have players jockeying for better position and googling their hearts out for superior tactics. We're pleased to announce our first title, as it is a true legend of the business.



You fool! You shot where I was, not where I would be!
The game is Space Invaders and the rules are simple.
1) Contestants will have from 6 a.m. EST to 12 a.m. EST on Monday, January 21, 2008, to submit their score to the Space Invaders leaderboard via the GameTap client.
2) Only the top score per TapID will count toward the contest, with all other scores being thrown out.
3) Only one TapID per household will be eligible.Winners will be announced every Thursday, along with the next featured game in the tournament. So brush up over the weekend, discuss strategy with your fellow gamers, and prepare to bring it like it has never been brought before.
