River Raid is a game that's associated with many firsts in the videogame world. It's known as the grandfather of the vertical shooter, being the first game to feature a scrolling, vertical screen. It was also created by the first female game designer, Carol Shaw. On Monday, February 11, River Raid will set another precedent as it becomes our first GameTap Gold title to star in our Monday Leaderboard Tournaments.What's that? You don't have a Gold account? 1. Contestants will have from 6 a.m. EST to 12 a.m. EST on Monday, February 11, 2008, to submit their score to the River Raid leaderboard via the GameTap client.
2. Only the top score per TapID will count toward the contest, with all other scores being thrown out.
3. Only one TapID per household will be eligible.
