Playing something like Defender on GameTap really makes you appreciate just how far we've come. Unlike your arcade daze of 1980, you won't need to enlist a friend to mash the absurdly hard to reach Hyperspace button in tricky situations, you can just map it something more manageable. That leaves your friend with enough free hands to get you a sandwich and put on your favorite Buckner and Garcia track.Which is good, because on Monday, January 28, GameTap's Leaderboard Tournaments take on Defender.


I'm the Defender / A mutant bender

Be sure to scope out the official rules before participating.

1. Contestants will have from 6 a.m. EST to 12 a.m. EST on Monday, January 28, 2008, to submit their score to the Defender leaderboard via the GameTap client.
2. Only the top score per TapID will count toward the contest, with all other scores being thrown out.
3. Only one TapID per household will be eligible.
