The Basics
Ultra Radio Control Racers is a top-down driving simulation in which players race radio-controlled cars around tracks. You can play the game using a gamepad or the arrow keys on your computer keyboard.
Powerups
Along with straight racing, Ultra Radio Control Racers has an optional combat element. Power-up icons appear along the track. These power-ups include bottle rockets that home in on opponents, an electroshock weapon, fire cracker mines, turbo boosts, and more. To activate these power-ups, hit the space bar on your keyboard or the fire Button on your gamepad.
Upgrades
You earn virtual cash by winning or placing in events. These virtual winnings can be used to upgrade your RC racer with better motors, suspension, and tires. Motors will give your acceleration and top speed an extra kick, while suspension boosts and new tires will increase the responsiveness of your controls.
Tip: Kick the Tires
If there is one upgrade to consider when driving an Ultra Radio Control Racers car, it's tires. As you start the game, the faster cars are hard to control. While adding a faster engine to an easy-to-control car leads to new steering problems, adding better tires to a fast car results in a maneuverable machine.
Tip: Keep It Up
Don't be discouraged if you're having problems winning a race. After you pull off your first victory, you'll get some cash to upgrade your vehicle and make subsequent wins easier to accomplish.
