Basics
As Hercule Poirot, your job is to use the little grey cells to solve a case of murder on Seadrift Island. In traditional point and click adventure fashion, this is primarily accomplished by collecting items to solve various puzzles. To move, simply click your mouse button where you want Poirot to go. If you wish to move to a different room, you can double click to move more quickly. When you mouse over a person or object you can interact with, your cursor will change to show what you can do.
Inventory
When you pick up an item, it will move to your inventory. To access the inventory, you can click on the case in the menu at the top of the screen, or simply right-click. Once in the inventory, click on an item to put it in your hand for use, or double-click to examine the item further. Once you have an item in your hand, you can attempt to combine it with another item in the inventory or use it on an object on the screen.
Menu
By moving your mouse cursor to the top of the screen, you can see the menu. Click on the picture of the hotel to get to the main menu. Click on the portrait to jump between Poirot's office and the hotel. Click the case to open your inventory. Click on the pad to see documents and other useful information. Lastly, you can click on the stopwatch to time certain events in the game.
Tip: The Finger of Suspicion
Poirot possesses an unusual object on his office desk that can assist you in your investigation. To use, click on the Finger of Suspicion, choose a card with the name of a suspect, and the Finger will point to the correct action to take regarding that person. Throughout the case, Poirot will also be giving hints on the nature of the Finger itself for you to figure out.
