Basics
Sarge's War is a third-person action game with some tactical strategy thrown in. Sarge can be controlled using the numeric keypad on your keyboard, or with a game controller. The [8] key will move him up, [2] will move him down, [4] and [6] for left and right, and so forth. Sarge can fire his weapon using the left mouse button, and change weapons through a spin of the mouse wheel.
Goals
Sarge is on a mission to find out who ruined the peace conference and took out not only his squad, but the love of his life. To do this he'll have to wade through wave upon wave of Tan Army soldiers in this mission-based shooter. Completing each mission is as easy as shooting everything onscreen.
Powerups
There are plenty of powerups for Sarge to find during his missions. The most important of these, though, are the weapon, ammo, and health powerups (shaped like grenades, clips, and medkits respectively). Grab these powerups wherever you find them to assure victory on the battlefield. Sarge has plenty of weapons in his arsenal -- including grenades and sniper rifles -- so be sure to familiarize yourself with all of them.
Tip: Tan Shotgunners
Try to keep the Tan Shotgunner at a distance, since up close and personal is where he and his boomstick like to be.
Tip: Tan Tanks
Should you come against a tank, find some cover fast. Sarge is capable of taking out one of these bruisers if he has a rocket launcher or with a few well-aimed grenades, but he can't go toe-to-toe with them.
