Basics
The Bust-A-Move playing field consists of four elements: the ceiling, the line, the bubbles and the launcher. The bubbles are connected to the ceiling, which slowly drops toward the bottom of the screen. If a bubble crosses the line at the bottom, the game ends.
Bubbles
To stop the bubbles from reaching the bottom, you must use the launcher in the middle of the screen to fire differently-color bubbles up into the mass that's connected to the ceiling. When three or more bubbles of the same color come into contact, they burst and disappear. If a bubble of a different color is being held up entirely by some that have just been cleared away, that extra bubble will drop away and leave the playing field as well.
Winning
When you have cleared away every bubble of every color, the round ends and you advance to the next stage. In two-player mode, the first player to clear his side or cause the other player's bubbles to cross the line wins.
Tip: Attack
When playing against another player, you will send bubbles over to your opponent's side anytime you break more than three at once. Go for big chains to flood his side of the screen with garbage.
Tip: And Defense
Don't get too carried away creating big combinations in two-player mode, though -- your opponent will constantly be working to do the same thing to you, and you'll be in trouble if you're caught off-guard.
Tip: Color Choices
The fewer the number of colors on-screen, the more quickly the bubbles will descend. Keep this in mind before clearing out the last set of a certain color... you might be making the game harder for yourself.
