Basics
Gems pour from the starting gate and travel down the track. If they reach the end of the track, you lose a life! Match the gems in groups of three or more of the same color to clear them from the board by launching a gem onto the track with the click of a mouse. Swap the gem you’ve got for the next gem in line by right-clicking.
Powerups
Powerups regularly appear on the gems on the track. Clear the gem with the powerup icon on it to collect your new power. These are generally additional firepower that will help you destroy several gems at once, from the five-shot, single-target Laser Eye to the massive, exploding Fireball.
Stacks
Some gems come in stacks. When you clear the gem on the bottom, the next one in the stack falls onto the track instead. You can clear whole stacks at once if they are the same color, but stacks tend to break combos and chains more than they serve a benefit.
Tip: Shopping
Each match and each level cleared give a monetary reward that can be spent on powerups. Being a chameleon, you can switch “skins” after purchasing them. These skins generally give you a free powerup after one minute has passed, or boost the amount of money you get or powerups that appear as you play.
Tip: Close Up
Gems will leave a gap if you clear ones in the middle instead of the first in line. If gems on both sides of the gap are the same color, the gap will close itself; if this creates a group of three or more, you’ve started a chain. If a gap is left behind, try to shoot through it to match gems on the other side for extra points.
