Basics
In Cosmic Osmo and the Worlds Beyond the Mackerel, your job is to explore seven worlds (six of them are, indeed, beyond the Planet Mackerel) and have adventures. It's as simple as that: Osmos are an inquisitive people, and their little corner of the galaxy is absolutely packed with strange encounters. Though Cosmic Osmo was designed for young gamers -- it is nonviolent and doesn't have any confrontations -- even adults will enjoy its silly locales and off-the-wall humor.
Controls
Cosmic Osmo uses a simple point and click interface. Click on an item, individual, or location and the game responds. A nonlinear game, there are generally several approaches to each adventure, and plenty of things you can do. Since it's impossible to "lose" this game, don't hesitate to click things you might not otherwise click. Try to approach problems differently, and see what the game can do.
The Point
Unlike most videogames, Cosmic Osmo has no win or lose scenario. You can play and replay this game for years, always discovering new adventures and trying out new stuff. The point of the game is to explore, to encounter. Don't try to solve problems or sort out puzzles; there aren't any. Just fire up the Osmobile and check out the galaxy.
Tip: Multiple Approaches
You can approach most game challenges in more than one way -- wash dishes, break them, push them into the disposal, or try some other idea.
Tip: Do Not Touch
When something says "do not touch," you know you have to touch it, right? Clicking this planet's hot core might not get you anywhere, but it's certain to make you laugh.
Tip: No Danger
You can't die, you can't lose, you can't even get hurt. Cosmic Osmo is a different kind of game, so there's no reason to be nervous when you approach scary stuff.
