Goal
The object of Crystal Castles is to move Bentley around the game board collecting as many gems as you can while avoiding (or jumping on/over) enemies. Work fast, because your enemies can grab gems, too. When the last gem is picked up, you're transported to the next level. If Bentley collects it, you're awarded a point bonus; if one of your foes gets it: no bonus for you!
Items
Items will appear in each castle to help you out. Grabbing the witch's hat gives you momentary invincibility, making it easier to run over your opponents and grab any remaining gems on a level. The hat has another power, as well. Should Berthilda appear on a level, as she occasionally does, you can dispatch her in one fell swoop if you're wearing her hat. Nice! Also, keep an eye out for the pot of honey -- but watch out for the bees!
Tip: Beat The Eaters
The gem eaters can be destroyed by running over them as they are picking up a gem piece. Time it correctly, or you'll lose a life.
Tip: Bonsai!
Jumping over trees will cause them to shrink, temporarily disabling them.
Tip: Secret Warps
Pressing jump in secret spots in some castles will allow you to warp ahead to new levels. Can you find them all?
