Basics
At the top of the screen is a hidden phrase. The bulk of the screen is taken up by the game board. Click on adjacent letters on the board to form a word. The first letter of the word you form will appear in the hidden phrase whenever it occurs. To finish the board, you must guess the entire hidden phrase before your number of turns runs out.
Powerups
Letter disks labeled “Double” or “Triple” multiply the score you earn by forming words with those disks by 2 or 3, respectively. “Free” disks are even better, because they tend to show up on vowel disks, and they add the letter shown to the hidden phrase regardless of where the letter appears in the word. With these you get two hints out of one word -- one for the first letter of your word, and one with your Free disk!
Tip: Any Word Will Do
Remember, the score of individual words only contributes to the number of free turns you get. The first letters of the word you build are what contribute to solving the puzzle. Try to begin each word you form with a different letter to fill in the board.
Tip: I'd Like To Buy One
It helps to familiarize yourself with a few three-letter words that begin with vowels, because the “Free” disks don’t show up as often as you might like. A quick “IVY” or “OAR” can give you the hints you need to guess the phrase.
