basics
Where are two ways to throw your darts in Friday Night 3D Darts. With the mouse, simply click where on the board you want the dart to go, then slide the mouse back and push forward quickly to toss the dart. Or, if you set the controls to "keyboard" in the options screen, you can set your throw power with the [Spacebar] and throw the dart by pressing [Enter].
goals
The goal is to deplete your score to zero before your opponent. Depending on which rules you set in the options menu, you can do this simply by accruing the proper amount of points, or force each player to "double in" and "double out." (Where they have to hit a double on the board to start and finish their game.)
scoring
The scores are placed around the board, with each black pie piece being worth the assigned score, the outer ring being worth double points, and the center ring being worth triple points. The bull's-eye in the center of the board is worth 50 points, and the ring surrounding it worth 25.
tip: go for the 20
On order to Double In and Double Out, you have to hit the double ring of any number to start or finish your game. The best double ring to aim for at the start is the 20, since it's the most points you can score. Until you double in, any points you get won't count.
tip: keyboard rules
When you first start playing Friday Night 3D Darts, go to the options screen and switch your controls to "keyboard." This setup is far more friendly than the mouse scheme, though it offers a bit less control overall.
