Getting Started
To begin, you’ll need to enter your name. Use the up and down arrow keys to select a letter and the Enter key to enter it. Once you have entered a name you are taken to the title screen to start the game proper.
Powerups
Mortimer can only carry one fish at a time before returning to his wife, but can collect any number of powerups that aren’t fish in the meantime. Green objects will increase your score and are the most common item on the field. As new powerups are introduced you will be given a quick demo of how they work -- for example, picking up a Speed powerup lets Mortimer hop from platform to platform more quickly.
Tip: Aquatic Mines
Stepping on a mine will trigger it. After several seconds it will explode, so you’ll want to have moved on by then.
Tip: Enemies
There are enemies wandering around most of the levels, but they move so slowly they’re not much of a problem. Touching them while wearing Thor’s Hammer or setting off an aquatic mine in an adjacent square will destroy them for extra points.
