Basics
You have a minute and half and three lives to get across the finish line. Steering is easily done by using left and right to maneuver, pressing up to accelerate and down to brake. The fire button will do just that: fire. Got cars on your tail? Press down and fire to drop an oil slick and send them spinning.
Jumps
You will find ramp trucks and jumps extremely helpful in clearing dangerous areas. Hit the jumps with good speed and you will find yourself sailing over treacherous terrain with ease.
Powerups
Scattered throughout the four tracks will be flashing powerups to refill your bullets and oil. Make sure to keep your meters filled so that you can go on the offensive at any time. Keep an eye on your damage meter. If things are getting heated make sure to visit the pit.
Tip: Center Yourself
Try to stay in the center of the course because the sides of the track will cause the most damage to your car. Fortunately, the other racers won’t fire at you, but you still need to be on the lookout for oil and other obstacles.
Tip: Foresight is 20/20
Use your brakes to stop and take a look ahead. You will always want to make sure you have a little room to be able to stop and maneuver around tricky obstacles that may get in your way.
Tip: Pit Stop
Keep an eye on the side of the road on the first two levels. Where you see a yellow curb you will know you are getting to a pit stop. Make sure to pop in to reset your car’s damage.
Tip: Smash 'Em
If cars on the side are giving you a hassle, you can destroy them by bumping them into a wall. This is especially useful if you run out of ammunition.
