Getting Started

When you play Mission: Runway for the first time, you will be prompted to enter a profile name. Simply type in any name you’d like and click on the green check mark icon. Following this, you will be asked to select a designer – browse through these with the arrow keys on the bottom of the screen, and click on the star button to confirm your choice.

Main Menu

From the main menu, select "Competition” to play the main game. You may also choose "Freestyle Design,” view your past fashion creations with "Wardrobe,” and take a walk down memory lane with the "Photo Album.” You may also access the "Options” menu, add or delete registered profiles with the "Player” button, or simply click on "Quit” to return to GameTap.

Enter The Competition

The majority of Mission: Runway’s features are available in "Competition Mode.” Here you will go through several "episodes” of Mission: Runway challenges. Each episode presents a brand new design challenge, which is scored by three judges. If this is your first time playing, you will only be able to choose the first episode. Once you have completed an episode, you can go back to re-play it at any time.

Roll Camera

Every episode of Mission: Runway begins with the introduction of the show’s judges, and an explanation of that week’s design challenge. Each judge has their own opinions and specific tastes, so your ultimate goal is to design an outfit that both meets the requirements and manages to please all three of them!

Design Studio

After receiving your challenge, it’s off to the Design Studio! Here you will personalize your model in three main areas: Clothes, Accessories and Make Up. There are loads of options here to design the perfect outfit, including a wide variety of patterns and decals. You can also save your outfits for later by clicking on the "Save Outfit” button.

The Photo Shoot

Now that you've designed your dream outfit, let's take some photos! Go into your Wardrobe, choose your design, and click on the "Photo Shoot” button to begin. Begin by choosing among several available studio sets to find the one you feel best fits the design challenge. Once you've done this, it's time to snap some hot photos! You can move, zoom, tilt and rotate the camera to get the perfect angle. But don't let your model just sit there daydreaming, click on the silhouettes on the bottom of the screen to make her adopt its depicted pose.

Tip: Freestyle Design

If you’d rather forego the competitive aspects of Mission: Runway, click on the "Freestyle Design” button on the main menu. Here you can create hot outfits on the model of your choice without fear of rejection or competition.
