Controls
The default controls are as follows -- the left and right arrow are used for steering; press the up arrow to accelerate; press the down arrow to brake or reverse; the handbrake is engaged by pressing [Spacebar]; [Q] will give you a look at your rearview mirror; [Backspace] controls your camera angle; shift up and down using [A] and [Z]; get a shot of nitrous by tapping [Z]. Remember, all of these controls, as well as what style of transmission you'll use, can be changed in the options menu.
Goals
It's a racing game. Your goal is to finish first! Choose from Championship, single race, time trial or network mode and strap in for one of the bounciest races of your life as you careen over one off-road course after another in your redneck buggy or truck. But before that, head into the options menu first so you can set your controls just the way you like 'em.
Tip: Shortcuts!
Keep your eyes peeled during each race for the multiple shortcuts to be found at every track. Normally watching the lead driver will reveal their locations, as he'll almost always use them.
Tip: Game Pad
Use of a game pad or steering wheel controller is highly recommended for Redneck Racing. It will give you more precise control than using your keyboard.
