Panzer Dragoon is a 3D shooter that runs "on rails," which means you don't have a lot of freedom to go wherever you want. Use the directional controls to move your targeting reticule around the screen, then fire with any of the fire buttons to shoot a short burst from your weapon. The directional controls also give you limited control over Lagi's direction as he runs or flies through each level.
