Getting Started
Press the one player start button to begin the game. Press up and down on the controller at the character select screen to choose either the boy piloting a zepplin, or the girl riding inside a hot air balloon. The zepplin is the wider of the two, while the hot air balloon is taller. Once you've made your decision, tap the flip button to lock in your choice and begin the game.
Lives
Play continues until all stages are cleared or the blocks reach the top of the screen. Once this happens, your balloon has no hope for escape, and the game ends. Never fear, though... you can always return to the last stage you reached by pressing the one player start button before the continue timer expires.
Gameplay
The balloon will appear on the bottom of the screen, surrounded by barriers. Shortly afterward, pieces will fall from the sky. Press the controller left or right to guide the pieces in those directions, and press the flip button to rotate them in place. Once you've found a good place to set the piece, press down on the controller and the piece will swiftly fall to the ground, or any blocks that happen to be underneath it.
Goals
The goal of Puzzled is to break through the blocks holding the balloon captive. Create a complete horizontal line with the pieces you're given, and any blocks in the line will shatter. Once the balloon has an escape route, it will float to the top of the screen, ending the stage. Making lines of blocks also fills a meter in the center of the screen. Once that meter is full, press the bomb button to clear away any blocks surrounding the balloon!
Tip: Collapse
Any blocks above a line you've built will be broken into individual pieces when that line disappears. This makes it easier to fill gaps on the bottom of the screen.
Tip: Solid Gold
Some of the onscreen blocks are more difficult to remove than others. For instance, the shining gold blocks can't be broken with a single line; you'll have to build three lines with these blocks before they will crumble.
Tip: Wide Open Spaces
Be careful where you drop that next piece! It's easy to cover up open spaces with blocks, and frustratingly difficult to dig down to the bottom of the stack to reach them.
