Gameplay Modes

Rapala Pro Fishing offers two gameplay modes: Free Fishing and Tournament. In Free Fishing, you can choose any lake and tackle you've unlocked and fish at your leisure. In Tournament, you can select from a host of fishermen (and women) and then enter a variety of increasingly difficult timed challenges and cups. Beating tournaments unlocks new locations and gear for you to use in Free Fishing mode.

Tip: Picking a Location

There are a lot of elements you must be aware of when looking to catch trophy fish. Picking the best location is one of the most important. Spend some time trolling the waters looking for areas that provide cover, vegetation and rocky regions. These areas tend to host the biggest concentration of game fish.

Tip: Gear and Tackle

Spend some time becoming familiar with the equipment in your tackle box. The game provides detailed information on the large variety of Rapala--licensed lines, rods and lures. Knowing which to use for your location and the fish you are attempting to catch can greatly increase your odds of success.

Tip: From the Experts

It's a good idea to play through the Tutorial as well as read through the in-game Fishing Guide before entering your first Tournament. The game offers a bevy of helpful information, from Pro Tips to the characteristics of the game fish you will be catching, which include bass, catfish, walleye, pike and more.
