Getting Started
Enter your name to set up your own profile. You'll start the game with a plain ol' regular bowling ball and only one course to play on. Later you'll unlock different courses, challenges, and tournaments, but you'll need to get your basics down first.
Money
Knock over green Dollar pins to add $1 to your wallet. There are also coins scattered around the course; hit these with your ball to add the amount of money on the coin. Finally, after you complete a course, you might be invited to take a challenge course to score as many three-pin strikes as you can within 30 seconds. Each strike is worth some cash, how much depends on how much you were willing to wager before the challenge began.
Rocket Boost
Once you've collected enough money, open your Bowling Bag to shop for new balls. Your first purchase should have one Rocket Boost available. When you launch a ball with Rocket Boost, two green arrows will appear on the screen where the power meter was previously. Click a button to give the ball a boost in that direction. Later balls you can buy let you do this more than once per throw!
Controls
Aim your ball by holding down the mouse button and dragging the mouse to look around the course. When you're ready to throw the ball, click the "Set Power" button. The power meter will begin to fill. Click "Launch" to throw the ball; the more power in the power meter, the further and faster the ball will roll.
Gameplay Modes
In addition to Free Play, you may enter a Challenge against a computer-controlled opponent to win a little extra scratch. If you think you're king of the course, prove it by putting down some serious money in a Tournament. If you come out on top of the tourney, you'll win some impressive sums of money!
Tip: Aim Adjustment
If you've clicked the "Set Power" button but realize your aim might be a little off, don't sweat it. Just let the power meter fill all the way up, then drain all the way back down to nothing. The Launch button will turn back into the Set Power button, and you'll be able to aim the ball once more.
Tip: Better Balls
Later balls you'll be able to purchase have extra rocket boosts and a certain amount of spin available. Spin is another setting you can manipulate before you throw your ball, and puts a little English on the ball to let it curve around obstacles without using up a Rocket Boost.
