Controls

Interact with the things you find with the Spacebar -- you can use it to activate computers, punch codes into keypads, hang from ledges by your fingers, and many other tasks. Press the Spacebar when you're near another person and you'll grapple them; you may then knock them out or throw them to the ground. If you need to reverse something you've done -- for instance, to go back out of a computer application -- use the left Shift key.

Psychic Powers

Hold the right mouse button to concentrate on objects, then activate your psychic abilities by holding the left mouse button while you concentrate. While using psychic powers, you'll hold down both buttons until the desired effect takes place. After you learn more pychic abilities, you can switch between them with the [N] and [M] keys or the scroll wheel on your mouse.

Getting Started

To begin your game of Second Sight, press the Spacebar at the title screen. You'll then be prompted to begin a new game or load a saved one. You started previously. When you begin a new game, you'll be asked to enter a character name, then select the level you wish to play. Only the first stage, "Isolation", is available at the beginning of the game. When you finish each stage, the next will become available to play.

Movement

As patient JV-034, you're playing an amnesiac struggling to regain his memory. Thankfully, the first stage is a self-narrated tutorial that will teach you how to move, use items, and activate your psychic powers. Move with the arrow keys and look around using the mouse. Crouch (or stand from crouching) with the [C] key. Sneak around by pressing the [E] key.

Tip: Telekinesis

When using telekinesis to move objects, your character always faces the object you're moving.. Moving the mouse instead moves the object you're concentrating on; you can fling items around by releasing the mouse button while you swing the object through the air.

Tip: Allies

In parts of the game where you have allies, remember that you can affect them with your psychic abilities, too. You will need to heal your buddies after combat with your Healing power, for instance, or use Charm to calm someone down after they've been frightened.

Tip: Elevator Action

One of your first tasks in the game is to find out the key code to the elevator door in the medical facility. The computer in the surgery room has the information you need, but it may take some experimentation to figure out how to get the data you need out of the map system.
