Shining Force is a turn-based tactical role-playing game (RPG) with challenging strategy elements. It was developed by Climax Entertainment (Shining in the Darkness, Landstalker, Time Stalkers) and pubished by Sega for the Sega Genesis home console.

Shining Force is the story of the eternal battle between Light and Dark. One thousand years ago, the forces of Light defeated the wicked Dark Dragon, sealing him away in another dimension. When the fiend breaks free and sends his soldiers to destroy the land of Rune, only a small band of heroes can put an end to his plans for vengeance.
