The Basics
The Adventures of Willy Beamish is entirely mouse-driven. As you pass your pointer over various parts of the screen, the icon will change if you can interact somehow with any object. Simply left-clicking on said object will cause Willy to interact with it. Right-click anywhere on the screen to change the pointer into a magnifying glass, which will give you a detailed description of whatever you click on.
Inventory
At any time, click on Willy himself to open the inventory screen. Here you can use certain objects, combine them (by dragging one item over another), and inspect them using the magnifying glass by right-clicking, as before.
Tip: First Aid
If Willy should have a slip of the fingers while cutting vegetables, remember that the iodine is in the bathroom medicine cabinet on the second floor. After all, you don't want Willy to get gangrene.
Tip: Save!
Save early and often. Many of these older adventure games feature lots of dead-ends and sudden death scenarios that are difficult to avoid.
