Controls
To move, click on an empty area. You can hold the mouse button down to continue moving. To attack a monster or speak with an ally, click on your target. Your character will automatically close the distance to use his or her weapon, or walk up to the ally to speak. Right-click to cast your equipped spell. Control the camera with the WASD keys. Click on treasures to pick them up and add them to your inventory.
Menus
Most of the game’s menus can be accessed by clicking on the icons at the bottom and top of the screen. Click the compass in the top-right corner to bring up a map. Press [Esc] to bring up the main menu, allowing you to save your game, load from a previous save file, set your options, or quit.
Characters
Frater is a monk and an expert at magic, most at home with spellbooks and staves. Elena is a hunter, specializing in ranged weapons like bows, crossbows and firearms, allowing her to dispatch enemies before they can close in and land a hit. Khan is the opposite -- he’s a melee specialist, and is most comfortable wading right into combat with a sword or axe in hand. Choose the character that suits your play style; you won’t be able to switch once you begin.
Tip: Potions
Don’t hesitate to reach for the [H] and [M] keys, as those are the hotkeys to quaff health and mana potions respectively. You won’t go very far in the game without filling your backpack with these handy elixirs, and being able to chug them in combat without diving through a menu is the only way to get through most fights.
Tip: Weapon Sets
The [1] and [2] keys switch between weapon sets. This allows you to easily switch equipment to suit your current situation. You can swap from a melee weapon to a ranged weapon instantly, or swap out the currently-equipped staff for a different one to get a boost to a different magic spell. Clever use of the weapon sets can make your quest a little easier.
