Gameplay

Just like any pinball game, the object is to keep your ball bouncing around the play area, scoring you points, for as long as possible. Watch your score climb in the upper right of the screen, alongside the number of balls remaining. You get three balls to start out with, but there are ways to win more.

Controls

To start, pull the directional pad down and hit the action button to fire the ball into play with the plunger. At this point, it's your reflexes versus the laws of physics. Push left or right to activate the respective flipper. Holding the action button while hitting left or right will "nudge" the table a bit, allowing you to change the ball's trajectory.

Tilt

Nudging helps you grab those alluring bonuses, but don't overdo it. If you "tilt," the score area will flash red, you'll lose control of your flippers and extra drains will open at the bottom. Eventually you'll lose your ball, along with any extras that you've collected.

Tip: Atari Logo

This Atari logo can be your best friend -- hit it four times, and you score an extra ball.

Tip: Nudge

Nudging is very important, and almost necessary to score an extra ball by hitting the Atari logo four times. If you nudge gently and don't overdo it, you won't have to worry about a tilt.

Tip: Plunger

Just like in a real pinball game, you don't necessarily want to blast the ball onto the field at top speed. Experiment with pulling the plunger back to various levels to see which scores you the most points.
