Main Menu
From the main menu, play a single-player local game by choosing "Play Poker,” attempt an online match with "Play Online Poker,” load a previous game with "Load Game,” save your current progress (if applicable) with "Save Game,” tweak the volume levels with "Options,” or return to GameTap with "Exit WPC 2.”
Starting A Game
When starting a new game, you will be prompted to select your player. If you don’t wish to customize your experience, you can go with the default, named simply "Player.” If you’d like to create your own character, you may do so in any of the three remaining slots.
Character Customization
World Poker Championship 2: Final Table Showdown offers an extremely robust character creator. In addition to skin, hairstyle, clothing, weight and makeup, the game also lets you adjust intricate details including chin heft, eyebrow shape, lip fullness, and more. You can create someone who looks just like you, live out your fantasy by being someone beautiful, or create a hideous beast that makes you chuckle.
Game Options
Poker games are highly customizable. Choose from ten game types, including Texas Hold’Em, Omaha, Shanghai, 7 Card Stud, and more. There are also ten international locales, adjustable limits and buy-ins, difficulty settings, and the ability to choose the number of players, from 2 to 200!
Playing The Game
Though it takes years to become a skilled poker player, the act of interacting with World Poker Championship 2 could not be simpler. After the cards are dealt, simply wait for the other players to make their moves. When it is your turn, your options will appear on the bottom of the screen – depending on which interpretation of poker you are playing, your options could range from calling and folding to raising in increments or betting everything you have. Scroll through your options with the arrow keys, and press [Enter] to choose.
Tip: Know When to Run
In real life it ain’t proper behavior to count your money at the table, but in this game, feel free. No one’s watching. Watch your cash like a hawk, and don’t bet the farm when you aren’t sure, or you’ll end up with nothing.
